Push back and drive-in trade some selectivity for density and make sense when you're storing several pallets of the same item. Raising beam elevations, tightening flue spacing, re-slotting by velocity, and converting slow-moving SKUs to deeper storage often adds 20 to 40 percent more positions in the same footprint. How do you determine capacity ratings for a rack layout?

Beam capacity is rated per pair at a given span, and frame capacity depends on upright series, depth, and vertical beam spacing. We size both to your heaviest pallet with the actual beam elevations you plan to use, then provide load rating documentation so your team can post it on the system.

What information do you need to give an accurate quote?

Pallet dimensions and weight, pallets per SKU, clear ceiling height, sprinkler and lighting locations, column spacing, and the lift trucks you run. If you have a building drawing, send it. With that, most quotes go out within a couple of business days.

What are typical lead times from approval to installed racking?

Accepted Answer

Standard selective components are frequently available in days, and most Nashville-area projects run one to four weeks from approved drawing to completed installation. Can you reconfigure or expand racking we already own?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly re-beam existing bays, add levels, relocate rows, and tie new frames into an existing system. We identify the manufacturer and series first so connectors and capacities match rather than mixing incompatible steel.

Question 9

What rack protection do you recommend in high-traffic aisles?

Accepted Answer

Column protectors on aisle-facing uprights, end-of-row guards, and guard rail near dock doors and turns. Compared with replacing a struck upright and losing a bay for a week, protection is inexpensive. We include it in the quote and let you decide.

Question 10

What should we do if a lift truck hits an upright?

Accepted Answer

Unload the affected bay and the bays adjacent to it, then send us photos. Damage to a column or a footplate changes the load path for the whole run. We can source matching repair kits or replacement frames and get a crew out to swap them, and we treat these as priority calls for local customers.

Do you support customers after the install is finished?
